Internal Family Systems Therapy
You may understand your patterns intellectually and still find yourself reacting in ways you cannot simply think your way out of.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) offers a gentle way of understanding the different parts of you that may be trying to protect, control, please, achieve, avoid or stay strong.

Understanding the parts that shape how you respond
You may notice certain reactions showing up automatically, such as overthinking, pushing yourself, withdrawing, pleasing others or trying to stay in control.
IFS understands these responses as parts of you that have developed ways of protecting you, often based on earlier experiences.
Rather than judging or trying to eliminate them, therapy helps you approach these parts with curiosity, understand what they are trying to do for you and create more space for different ways of responding.
Protective patterns
Patterns such as perfectionism, overthinking, people pleasing, withdrawal or control often develop as ways of navigating difficult experiences and protecting something more vulnerable underneath.
IFS helps you understand these responses with curiosity rather than criticism, while gradually creating space to explore the fears, needs or experiences they may be connected to.
How IFS supports sustainable change
IFS is a compassionate, trauma informed approach that supports greater curiosity, self-understanding and internal trust.
Rather than forcing change, the work helps you build a different relationship with the parts of you that struggle, protect or carry pain.
The aim is to create change that feels more natural, grounded and lasting.
